History behind the writing
 of
 Farewell to Freedom

Author Anita Waggoner, moved to Freedom, Oklahoma, in 1997 where she built Cedar Canyon Lodge and Stables Cafe; opening for business in 2000. She ranched and raised rodeo bulls operating a dude ranch, lodge, lounge and restaurant in Freedom until 2009 when she sold out saying Farewell to Freedom. She covers many of her personal adventures and life experiences in the novel Farewell to Freedom.

Cedar Canyon Lodge continues to be open for business in Freedom,
 under new ownership.

Farewell to Freedom  is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents used in the writing of Farewell to Freedom either are the product of the author's imagination or are used fictitiously.  Any resemblance to actual persons (living or dead), events, or locales is entirely coincidental.
